Sin is Like a Game of Darts

When we bought our house recently, one of the things that was left from the previous owners was a dart board. I do enjoy playing darts, but I am not very good at it. I end up most of the time either missing the dart board all together or generally hit nowhere near I intended too. I will take a look into the question, what is sin? I will break down the definition and then explain why it is important for us to grow in our understanding of what sin is.  Sadly, there is a lot of preaching playing down the definition of what sin is. We cannot afford to water down definitions just because we are worried about how bad they may respond. We do not want to be harsh either and scare people away from the truth. Is Your Church A Safe Place

 In an era where safety is high on the radar for any secular business, measures are now put in place to make sure that all employees are able to come into work in a safe and protective environment. According to Dr Paul McCarthy, a professor at Griffith University, approximately 2.5 million people have experienced some kind of workplace bullying in their lifetime in Australia alone. In fact, in 2022, a new Respect at Work Bill was passed in the Federal government, putting the responsibility on the employee to put protective measures in place and any failure to do so could result in infringement notices and costly court cases. These measures, for some in our culture seem ridiculous and unproductive; however, these measures have gone a long way to curbing the effects of bullying in the workplace.
